A Decades of Dress Historical Fashion Show
June 4 @ 2:00 pm
McCallum Museum is sponsoring a Decades of Dress Historical Fashion Show and Desert Luncheon on Saturday, June 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 704 Poplar Drive, Sibley.
The fashion show is an effort to relate Sibley’s history to various decades of fashion and the desert luncheon showcases deserts and treats used by early cooks and hostesses. There will be about eight to 10 deserts ranging from 1890’s to 1960’s. The fashions shown will highlight styles from 1870’s to present including a gown worn by Cindy Helmers Kemp when she was crown Miss Iowa in 1970. Ms. Musicale will be performing at intermission and Cindy Kemp will play piano prelude during the fashion show.
The fashion show, which is free, is in conjunction with the Sesquicentennial Celebration! However, reservations must be made to insure a place as seating is limited.
Call Leona Meendering at 712-461-0712 for reservations. There will also be FREEWILL offering for a fundraiser for McCallum Museum Farm Shed.
