Become a Poll Worker – Democrats needed!!

Poll Workers are a vital part of ensuring the safety and security of the election process and the need for poll workers is strong in our county, specifically for Democrats!

Iowa Law requires party balance among Precinct Election Official’s (PEO’s) representing each precinct across the county.  That means we must have, at minimum, 1 Republican and 1 Democrat.  Other representatives can be from the No Party, Libertarian or Independent as necessary but ideally the R/D ratio must be as close to 50/50 as possible. Osceola County historically has been a Republican county by majority, leaving us a short list of Democrats to choose from.  Since not everyone is able to work every time there is an election, there is a large need to expand our Democratic PEO list.

If you are currently a Democrat or are wanting to change to a Democrat and would be willing to serve in the PEO capacity – we want to hear from you!  If you have questions, want to know more about what the duties entail, or want to sign up please give us a call at 712.754.2241 or sign up at Iowa Poll Workers so we can add you to our list!  Thank you for considering!
